Good morning! I’m glad to be worshipping with you today in this way. We are looking towards the day when we can join back together. That is still some time away, and myself and the Church Council are working on a plan to do that safely. As dates and plans come together, I’ll keep you up-to-date on what is taking place.
For now, enjoy the Spring weather we are having, and promise that it brings for the future.
You can follow along in this bulletin for the service. If you are on a computer, phone, or other mobile device, then you can click on each of the videos as they come up. If you have a smart tv or streaming device connected to your tv, go to our YouTube channel and then go to playlists. Every Sunday We’ll have a new playlist set up with prayers, songs, and a message. As you come to each of those in the service you can play that video. With a playlist, as soon as one finishes, the next video starts so that all you have to do is hit pause until you’re ready to play again.
My prayer is that even in this format, we can worship together, and still see God at work.
The video that comes next is a welcome, has a few announcements, and an opening prayer.
Other than the Church Council, there are no other meetings this week.
You can help support the Food Pantry at Goodcent’s by “paying it forward” with the purchase of an additional $5 per pound deli meat or cheese. You can do that by going to the Goodcent’s website, or calling the store.

Joys & Concerns
We will continue to share our joys and concerns, as well as our prayer requests. Simply follow the link below and fill out the form. If you need to add more, you can fill the form out again. These will be shared with the congregation via email on Monday morning.
Share a joy, concern, and/or prayer request
Start the next video, and enter into a time of prayer.
When directed, take a few moments of silent prayer. Please lift up our community as we continue in our cancellations, shut downs, and the challenges they bring. There will be a pastoral prayer, then you are invited to join in the Lord's Prayer which is below.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen
Once you've finished watching the video, you can find some more resources for your kids, and a couple more fun music videos by clicking on this link
You can watch the video, or continue the service following along below.
As we gather, I invite you to consider how you can give, both to the church and to our community during this time. We have received a great deal from God, even in trying times. How can we give back?
If you are able to give, please use the envelopes that were sent out, or you can mail a check to the church at:
321 N Kansas Ave
Marceline, MO 64658
If you use online banking you can use your bill pay to send a check from your account directly to the church. You can even set it up so that it will be sent weekly or monthly. Your continued support will help us continue to be in ministry, even during this time.
Before going on to the scripture reading, read the following prayer out loud
God of righteousness, God of mercy: We have been called through the apostles to live in reverent fear – not a fear that immobilizes, but a fear that empowers us because we know how much is at stake. We know there are implication for what we do and what we don’t do. Dedicate the gifts we give this morning to do the things your heart longs for your church to do; help our eyes to be opened to where you would use us. We pray in the name of our risen savior, Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our Scripture Reading comes from 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 (link is for the whole chapter)
50What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled:
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
55“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
This is the word of God for the people of God
Thanks be to God
Will you join in singing our next song
What worries or insecurities keep you from forming relationships with other people?
What are the characteristics of your best relationships with other people?
How are those different from your worries?
How can your relationship with Jesus help you overcome the hard parts?
Please join in singing our final song
Read this prayer from the end of Jude
To the one who is able to protect you from falling,
and to present you blameless and rejoicing before his glorious presence,
to the only God our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
belong glory, majesty, power, and authority,
before all time, now and forever. Amen.
