Welcome! As you worship today, I hope you’re able to enjoy the day! I hope winter has finally passed, and that we’re on our way to spring. My prayer for us today is that no matter what else is going on around us, that the tomb is still empty, and Jesus is still risen! You can follow along in this bulletin for the service. If you are on a computer, phone, or other mobile device, then you can click on each of the videos as they come up. If you have a smart tv or streaming device connected to your tv, go to our YouTube channel and then go to playlists. Every Sunday We’ll have a new playlist set up with prayers, songs, and a message. As you come to each of those in the service you can play that video. With a playlist, as soon as one finishes, the next video starts so that all you have to do is hit pause until you’re ready to play again. My prayer is that even in this format, we can worship together, and still see God at work. Peace, Pastor John The video that comes next is a welcome, has a few announcements, and an opening prayer. Announcements Monday: Food Pantry 3pm-5pm Wednesday: Zoom Bible Study
Joys & Concerns We will continue to share our joys and concerns, as well as our prayer requests. Simply follow the link below and fill out the form. If you need to add more, you can fill the form out again. These will be shared with the congregation via email on Monday morning. Share a joy, concern, and/or prayer request Prayer Start the next video, and enter into a time of prayer. When directed, take a few moments of silent prayer. Please lift up our community as we continue in our cancellations, shut downs, and the challenges they bring. There will be a pastoral prayer, then you are invited to join in the Lord's Prayer which is below. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen Children's Message After watching the video, ask your kids about a time when they did something they weren't supposed to. Be sure to share your own time also! Ask them about how that made them feel when someone found out what they did. When you finish, help them to understand that God forgives them and helps them to have a second chance to do it right. Offering You can watch the video, or continue the service following along below. As we gather, I invite you to consider how you can give, both to the church and to our community during this time. We have received a great deal from God, even in trying times. How can we give back? If you are able to give, please use the envelopes that were sent out, or you can mail a check to the church at: Marceline UMC 321 N Kansas Ave Marceline, MO 64658 If you use online banking you can use your bill pay to send a check from your account directly to the church. You can even set it up so that it will be sent weekly or monthly. Your continued support will help us continue to be in ministry, even during this time. Before going on to the scripture reading, read the following prayer out loud Mighty God of Resurrection and Redemption, we offer our gifts alongside our alleluias! We offer our hands and feet and voices to take the celebration out of this place into a world that needs hope so desperately! May we go into the world with such energy, excitement, and power that the ground shakes once again, that lightning flashes, and that people see in us your redeeming love and the triumph of light over darkness! In the name of the risen Christ, we pray. Amen. Scripture Reading Our Scripture Reading comes from Genesis 3:20-24 (link is for the whole chapter) 20The man named his wife Eve because she is the mother of everyone who lives. 21The LORD God made the man and his wife leather clothes and dressed them. 22The LORD God said, “The human being has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.” Now, so he doesn’t stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever, 23the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to farm the fertile land from which he was taken. 24He drove out the human. To the east of the garden of Eden, he stationed winged creatures wielding flaming swords to guard the way to the tree of life. This is the word of God for the people of God Thanks be to God Will you join in singing our next song Reflection Take a moment for reflection What do second chances look like to you? When have you received one before? How has God been at work helping you to live out that second chance? Please join in singing our next song Benediction
Read this prayer from the end of Jude To the one who is able to protect you from falling, and to present you blameless and rejoicing before his glorious presence, to the only God our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, belong glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, now and forever. Amen.

Miss having church in person, but always inspired and lifted up by your messages. Like the change of background at different times. I tried to Like this but it wouldn't let me unless I let it use FB and I cleared my FB history last night.

I was hoping that they would have guessed correctly, or at least not been surprised at all
