To start today, will you say this prayer with me
Come Holy Spirit, come show us how we can be the spiritual heart of this community
I'm glad to be worshiping with you today!
The kingdom coming may be good news for some of us. It may bring judgment for more of us. But in that judgement, which leads to justice, we may also experience the love and joy of following Christ wholeheartedly.
From whichever platform your participating in worship today, let us know in the comments that you're here. Say hi!
After you've done that, join in singing our first song

I'll say the words in regular type, and please reply with the words in bold
Leader: King of all the earth, Creator of the universe, Holy Triune God, From everlasting to everlasting, you are Lord. You are merciful and full of loving-kindness and great compassion;
People: We will rejoice, for your grace, O Lord, has overflowed for us. You have washed us thoroughly from our wickedness and cleansed us from our sin;
Leader: We will rejoice, for your grace, O Lord, has overflowed for us. Against you alone have we sinned, and to you alone do we look for restoration;
People: We will rejoice, for your grace, O Lord, has overflowed for us. Who is like our God, the One who takes away the iniquity of his people,
the One who gives them clean hearts and right spirits?
Leader: We will rejoice, for your grace, O Lord, has overflowed for us. This is our God, the Holy One.
People: Come before him with thanksgiving and offer him the sacrifice of praise.

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Blessed are we; blessed is this church. Look, O people, and see. Listen, O people, and hear. Our God is calling, let us answer Him with praise. Amen

Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, Witness
As people of faith, we share who we are with each other. Below I invite you to share your joys and concerns, your prayer requests, and your offerings. You can use the link below, or in the comments
Share a joy, concern, and/or prayer request
Remember that you can mail in your offerings to:
321 N Kansas Ave
Marceline, MO 64658
You can also give online.
Take some time for some personal prayer, and take some time to give. This could be the time when you go online, or you write a check to the church, or when you make that commitment to give in a different way.
After the personal prayer, I'll say a prayer (if you're watching the video), and then join in saying the Lord's Prayer below.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen
Our scripture reading for worship is Revelation 1:1-5, 22:12-13
As you are able, please stand for the reading of God's Word.
1The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
4John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, 5and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.
Leader: This is the word of God, for the people of God
People: Thanks be to God!
Today's Message: The Kingdom Coming: The World Turned Upside Down
The Rev. Dr. Kate Hanch preaches on God's kingdom coming through the apocalyptic text of Revelation 1:1-5; 22:12-13 with reference to the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord’s Prayer and the Battle of Yorktown.
As we have heard the message, will you join me in responding to it through the ancient creed of our faith.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
When you're ready, join in our final song
24To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
