From whichever platform your participating in worship today, let us know in the comments that you're here. Say hi!

As you are a part of our online worship, it is a recording of our previous week's in person worship service. We do that so that we can share in a higher quality of worship together. Even though the service is recorded, Pastor John is down in the comments of the service every weekend.

What comes next follows the same order of service that is used during in person worship.
Prelude-Echo
To start today, will you say this prayer with me
Come Holy Spirit, come show us how we can be the spiritual heart of this community

I'm glad to be worshiping with you today!
This is a big commandment. Don't take the Lord's name in vain! As a side note, this isn't as easy as you think, and it's not about staying away from four letter words. There's a lot more to it than that.

Join us in the Call to Worship
I'll say the words in regular type, and please reply with the words in bold
Leader: Our help is in the name of the Lord our God, the Maker of heaven and earth,
People: who comes to our aid in times of need, who gives us the courage to do what we know is right,
Leader: who invites us to turn away from the influences of the world around us
People: and confess Him alone as Saviour and Lord.
All: This is our God! Let’s worship together.

Opening Prayer
Lord God of heaven and earth, Creator of our world, and everything in it, yet as close to us as our own breath—holy is Your name.

In You we live and move and have our being; we are Your own children, the work of Your hands.

We pray that Your Holy Spirit would move among us as we worship, opening our eyes to Your presence, opening our ears to Your Word.

Receive the worship of our hearts and minds and bodies; may it be a pleasing offering to You.

We pray in the name of Your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, in whose death and resurrection we find life. Amen.

Take some time for some personal prayer, and take some time to give. This could be the time when you go online, or you write a check to the church, or when you make that commitment to give in a different way.

After the personal prayer, I'll say a prayer (if you're watching the video), and then join in saying the Lord's Prayer below.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

Scripture Reading
Our scripture reading for worship is Acts 3:11-16
As you are able, please stand for the reading of God's Word.

Our scripture reading for worship is Acts 3:11-16
As you are able, please stand for the reading of God's Word.

11While the healed man clung to Peter and John, all the people rushed toward them at Solomon’s Porch, completely amazed. 12Seeing this, Peter addressed the people: “You Israelites, why are you amazed at this? Why are you staring at us as if we made him walk by our own power or piety? 13The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of our ancestors—has glorified his servant Jesus. This is the one you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence, even though he had already decided to release him. 14You rejected the holy and righteous one, and asked that a murderer be released to you instead. 15You killed the author of life, the very one whom God raised from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16His name itself has made this man strong. That is, because of faith in Jesus’ name, God has strengthened this man whom you see and know. The faith that comes through Jesus gave him complete health right before your eyes.

Leader: This is the word of God, for the people of God
People: Thanks be to God!

Today's Message: You Aren't Fooling Anyone

Benediction
Go from here as witnesses of what you have seen and heard. Share God’s love with those you meet. Bring hope to those who are in despair. Live lives of gratitude and praise. And may the love of God, the peace of Jesus Christ, and the ongoing presence of the Holy Spirit be within you and among you until we meet again. Amen.
