Welcome
This Sunday, May 24th, we’re starting worship again at the church. We will be outside in the back parking lot for a couple of weeks before we start back up in the Sanctuary. No matter how we worship: at home, online, in a parking lot, in the sanctuary, wherever, I’m glad that I get to worship with you.
You can follow along in this bulletin for the service. If you are on a computer, phone, or other mobile device, then you can click on each of the videos as they come up. If you  have a smart tv or streaming device connected to your tv, go to our YouTube channel and then go to playlists. Every Sunday We’ll have a new playlist set up with prayers, songs, and a message. As you come to each of those in the service you can play that video. With a playlist, as soon as one finishes, the next video starts so that all you have to do is hit pause until you’re ready to play again.

My prayer is that even in this format, we can worship together, and still see God at work.

Peace,
Pastor John

The video that comes next is a welcome, has a few announcements, and an opening prayer.
Announcements
Only one announcement for this week.
Tuesday Centering Prayer at 4pm on our church Facebook Page
Will you join us in our first song today,
Joys & Concerns
For Memorial Day this week, take some time to remember those folks who have passed on, are far away, or are suffering through this pandemic.

We will continue to share our joys and concerns, as well as our prayer requests. Simply follow the link below and fill out the form. If you need to add more, you can fill the form out again. These will be shared with the congregation via email on Monday morning.
Share a joy, concern, and/or prayer request

Prayer
Start the next video, and enter into a time of prayer.
When directed, take a few moments of silent prayer. Please lift up our community as we continue in our cancellations, shut downs, and the challenges they bring. There will be a pastoral prayer, then you are invited to join in the Lord's Prayer which is below.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

Children’s Message
This is one of those times when our Children’s message isn’t available to put on our YouTube Playlist, but you can find it in our eBulletin for today. For our kids (and us as adults too) it’s a reminder of Paul’s journey (or many journeys) the things he went through, and how even when things get really crazy, that God was still helping Paul through it.
When the video is over, ask your kids (and yourself) how God is helping them (and you) through this time.
Offering
As we come into a time of offering, remember that part of what we find in our offerings is not just the chance that we have to give to God, the church, and others, but its also a time to receive. As we give to God, we also are reminded that God gives to us.

Thank you for your continued offerings to the church, and to the many other places around us that you’ve been giving of your time and your money. Remember that you can mail in your offerings, or you can give online. Your gifts and commitment to your faith help us reach out and tell Jesus’ story in so many different ways.  Will you pray with me,

Let us pray,
God of Glory and Majesty, we have seen your glory in Christ, for it shines in our lives through the faithful who have walked with us on this journey. In seeing Christ’s glory in them, we have seen you. As we bring our gifts to you, remind us that the world will not see you and your glory unless they see it in each of us. Remind us as we move through each day that all around us are your children who are desperately searching for a glimpse of your holy presence and love. May they see it in us today. In the holy name of Christ, our Savior. Amen.
Scripture Reading: Acts 18:1-8
1After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, 3and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them. 4Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah. 6But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
7Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. 8Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptized.

Liturgist: This is the word of God, for the people of God
Congregations’ Response: Thanks be to God!

Benediction
Read this prayer from the end of Jude

To the one who is able to protect you from falling,
and to present you blameless and rejoicing before his glorious presence,
to the only God our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
belong glory, majesty, power, and authority,
before all time, now and forever. Amen.
