If you are looking at the newsletter and are thinking that it looks a little different, then you would be right. We're working on an idea to try and have something that we can put together more easily, but still share all of the same information. As you read it, please let us know what you think.

It is hard to believe that we are already to the month of July. That being said, this Summer is going to be, and has been very different from Summers past. As time goes on more things will be starting back up, and others will be changing. Graduation Sunday is coming up on the 19th, and VBS is in the planning stages for something different. Our small groups and Sunday School classes are looking at how they might begin to start, but it is still a challenge.

At our July Church Council meeting we'll be looking at when we can come back together for one service on Sunday mornings. That being said, we'll probably continue with the online service for a while, even after we come back together. I know there will be a number of folks that may not be comfortable in large crowds for a while, and that's okay. We have the ability to keep you connected, even if you aren't here in person.

I do need some help from you. I need your input on ideas that we can try to keep each other connected, learn together, and reach out and be in service with our community. What have you seen over the last couple of months that you would like to try, or what have you tried that seems to work well. It could be something online, a different way of gathering in person, or something completely different.

We live in a time when we have the chance to try new things, when everyone is trying new things. This is a time when we can experiment, and its okay. If it doesn't work, then that's okay. If it works, that gives us something new to do. If it might work with some adjustments, that's also okay. Be creative in what you think of or what you might want to try. I know the VBS folks have got several different ideas that they're looking at. Remember that we don't have to be tied to the church building either. We can take other steps out into something new.

While this is a very difficult time for us all, I am also looking forward to seeing what we can do. God uses these times to break us out of our shells and step into a new place he is leading us towards. Through the difficulties, I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. And I am glad that I get to do that with you.

Peace,
Pastor John
